Pimpri, 12th April 2023: On behalf of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), the citizens are being administered a booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. At present, the number of infected people in the city is gradually increasing.

In the meantime, the number of people affected by Corona had decreased. Citizens also turned their backs on booster doses of the vaccine as the severity decreased. However, as the number of infected people increased, the corporation ran out of vaccine stocks.

Under PCMC, the number of people taking booster doses is less. So far only 2,38,523 citizens have taken booster doses in the city. Currently, the central and state governments have been alerted as the number of infected people is increasing.

Accordingly, the process of vaccination has been started at eight centres of PCMC. However, the vaccination campaign has come to a standstill as the stocks of vaccines have run out.
