Pune – Varroc Cricket Academy Celebrates Khushi Mulla’s Selection as Team Captain

Thergaon, 6th October 2023: Dilip Vengsarkar, the former Indian cricket team captain and the driving force behind the Varroc Cricket Academy lent his expertise to the coaching team and players during a crucial planning meeting as the rainy season concluded. As the new cricket season is beginning, Varroc will now have many trials, tournaments and matches to be played.

In a moment of pride, Khushi Mulla from PCMC’s Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy was applauded for her selection as the captain of the Maharashtra Under-19 Women’s cricket team. She was wished the best of luck in making the most of this prestigious opportunity. Khushi has been honing her cricket skills at the Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy for the past seven years and is known for her prowess as an all-round opening batsman. She has previously represented Maharashtra at the under-16, under-19, and under-23 levels. Additionally, the academy’s Mayuri Thorat and Achal Agarwal have also been selected to join the Maharashtra team.

Notably, Varroc Cricket Academy, founded and nurtured by Dilip Vengsarkar from its inception, has been actively promoting women’s cricket alongside men’s cricket. The academy has made it a priority to provide equal importance and facilities for women cricketers, in line with Vengsarkar’s commitment to the sport.

During the event, several coaches were present, including Mohan Jadhav, Shadab Sheikh, Rahul Vengsarkar, Chandan Gangawane, Bhushan Suryavanshi, Pramod Liman, and Dr Vijay Patil, further emphasizing the commitment of Verroc Cricket Academy to nurturing talent and fostering the growth of cricket in the region.
