Pune: Vinay Kumar Choubey Takes Charge As Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner
Pimpri, 14th December 2022: Vinay Kumar Choubey, the new police commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad took charge today. Ankush Shinde, the previous commissioner, has been transferred to the post of Nashik Police Commissioner.
Today (14th December), Shinde handed over the charge to Choubey.
On this occasion, senior officers in the Commissionerate welcomed their new Commissioner with bouquets.
Choubey is a 1995 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
He is known for his passion for technology. Choubey was instrumental in the acquisition of a range of surveillance equipment for the department, including drones, which have been instrumental in tracking by-lanes during the lockdown.
The Home Department of Maharashtra state on Tuesday (13th December) night, ordered the transfer of senior state police officers.
