Pune: Wakad Man Dies by Suicide After Confronting Wife Over Affair; Body Dumped in Kasarsai

Wakad, 20th June 2025: A man died by suicide after discovering his wife’s extramarital affair with their neighbour. When he confronted her about it, she allegedly told him to “go and die.” Following his death, the woman, along with her lover and a minor, reportedly disposed of the body near Kasarsai, close to Hinjawadi.

The deceased has been identified as Tayyub Shah Usman Shah (46), a resident of Jagtap Nagar, Thergaon. His son lodged a complaint at the Kalewadi Police Station. Based on the complaint, police have arrested the woman, Sahil Kailas Ghadge (21), and a minor.

According to police sources, the woman was in a relationship with Sahil Ghadge. Tayyub Shah, upon learning about the affair, confronted his wife. Prior to the incident, several arguments and domestic disputes had reportedly taken place. During one such argument, the woman allegedly said, “You have made my life a living hell. Go and hang yourself and die.” Heartbroken, Tayyub took his own life.

To destroy evidence and mislead the investigation, the accused woman, her lover, and the minor allegedly transported the body to Kasarsai and attempted to dump it just 100 metres from the well-known Y-point in the area.

Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Bahirat told Punekar News, “The suicide has been reported. We have arrested all three accused. The minor has been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. A case of abetment to suicide, causing disappearance of evidence, giving false information to screen an offender, and common intention has been registered.”

Assistant Police Inspector Gurav is leading the further investigation into the case.
