Pune: Wanted Accused Under MCOCA Arrested After Coming To Hospital For Treatment

Kondhwa, 24th November 2022: Three persons who were absconding since last year in MCOCA crime, have been arrested by the Kondhwa police station. Reportedly, one of them had come to a hospital for treatment when he was caught. Later his two accomplices were also nabbed.
The arrested persons have been identified as Karan Vitthal Kale (22), Ganesh Jayjaykar Nade (20), both residents of Padmavati Vasahat in Bibvewadi, and Chandrakant Gautam Gaikwad (26), a resident of Katraj.
According to the information given by the police, last an FIR was registered against the accused persons for an attempt to murder and other charges. Later, the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) was also invoked against them. However, they had been absconding for the last year.
Police constables Amol Hirve, Abhijeet Ratnaparkhi, and Ganesh Chinchkar received information that Gaikwad was coming to the Bharati Hospital in Dhankawadi for treatment. The team laid a trap and detained him.
During interrogation, he informed that the two accomplices were hiding in the Shelke Wasti area of Bibvewadi. Accordingly, both were arrested.
The action was taken under the guidance of ACP Poornima Taware, Senior Police Inspector Sardar Patil, and Police Inspector (crime) Sanjay Mogle. The team included API Anil Suravse and police personnel Amol Hirve, Ganesh Chinchkar, Abhijeet Ratnaparkhi, Jaydev Bhosle, Margale, Rahul Rasge, Deepak Jade, and Mahesh Rathod.
