Manjari, 24th February 2023: Water issues are a major problem in the Bhandalkar Nagar area of Manjari Budruk. Although this area is included in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the citizens do not get enough drinking water. Therefore, today, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) protested at the Cantonment water supply centre of the municipality to demand that the citizens here get enough water.

This movement was led by Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Budruk-Shewalewadi ward chief Santosh Bhandari. The women of the area protested with pots in their hands. It has been two years since the Bhandalkar Nagar area in Manjari Budruk was included with the PMC. However, this area is not getting sufficient water supply from the Municipal Corporation.

About 800 to 1000 families live in the Bhandalkar Nagar area. The citizens of this area, especially the women, are facing inconveniences in getting water. There was a good water supply during Gram Panchayat. The women present on this occasion asked why the same water supply is not provided after being merged with the Municipal Corporation.

On the one hand, the municipal corporation says that there is no shortage of water. Due to this, the citizens of the Bhandalkar Nagar area are angry.
