Pune: Water Release from Khadakwasla Dam Scheduled for Evening
Pune, 13th September 2025: The Public Works Department has announced that water discharge from the Khadakwasla Dam spillway into the Mutha river basin will commence today at 5:00 PM, with a release rate of 1688 cubic feet per second (cusecs). This release is subject to change based on operational requirements.
Authorities have also cautioned that, depending on the rainfall patterns and reservoir inflow, the volume of water released may be increased or decreased accordingly. Residents and downstream communities are advised to take note of this and remain cautious near riverbanks.
