Pune: Wife’s Throat Slit By Engineer Husband Due To Suspicion Of Her Character
Fursungi, 6th December 2022: A man allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat with a knife due to suspicion of her character. Hadapsar police have arrested the husband in this case.
This incident took place on Monday (December 5) at around 8 am.
The deceased woman has been identified as Jyoti Rajendra Gaikwad (31), a resident of Gurudatta Colony, Ganga Nagar, Fursungi. A case has been registered against both her husband Rajendra Bhaurao Gaikwad (30) and his brother Sunil Bhaurao Gaikwad, in this regard. Among them, Rajendra Gaikwad has been arrested.
According to the information given by the police, Gaikwad is an engineer. He was suspicious of his wife’s character. Due to this reason, there was a constant fight between the two for the past several days. On Monday morning, there was another argument between them for the same reason. In a fit of rage, he stabbed his wife in the throat with a knife. Jyoti was seriously injured and died on the spot.
The police rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident. Her body was sent to Sassoon Hospital for post-mortem. Gaikwad has been nabbed and further investigation is being conducted by Sub Inspector Shelke.
