Pune: Woman Accuses Her Lawyer Of Rape, FIR Registered

Pune, 25th February 2022: A 38-year old woman has accused a lawyer of raping her under pretext of fighting her case.

Based on a complaint from the woman, an FIR has been registered against the accused at Dattawadi Police Station. In her complaint, the woman said that he promised her to fight her court cases. The woman has also complained that the accused has harassed her on multiple occasions since 2013.

According to the police, the victim and her husband did not get along and due to this, they did not live together and the woman has been living alone for a few years. The accused gained her trust in the pretext of getting her justice. The victim said the lawyer established a physical relationship with her and harassed her since she did not have anyone from her family to support her.

The police are investigating the matter.
