Pune Woman’s Intimate Video Leaked Online After She Rejects Marriage Proposal; Ex-Partner Booked
Pune, 16th May 2025: In a disturbing case of digital abuse and betrayal of trust, a 27-year-old man has been booked by Alankar Police for allegedly uploading private videos of his former partner to a pornographic website after she declined his marriage proposal.
According to police officials, the survivor, a 24-year-old manager employed with a private firm in Pune, had been in a consensual relationship with the accused, an automobile engineer from Kolhapur, for nearly two years. They reportedly became close after initially connecting as friends.
“The complainant has informed us that the accused secretly filmed their intimate moments without her knowledge or consent during the course of their relationship,” said a police officer from Alankar Police Station. “After she refused to marry him, he allegedly uploaded the private videos online as an act of revenge.”
The survivor came to know about the leak when a friend spotted one of the explicit videos circulating on a social media platform and immediately alerted her.
Shocked and traumatized, she approached the police and filed a formal complaint.
Police have confirmed that the videos were allegedly uploaded between December 30, 2023, and May 12, 2025.
“Such incidents highlight the grave misuse of technology and personal trust. We have registered an FIR and initiated a detailed investigation. The digital footprints are being traced and action will be taken under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act,” the officer added.
The police have also approached the website in question and requested the removal of the content. Efforts are underway to locate and arrest the accused.
