Pune: Young Innovator From Drought-Stricken Village Patents Herbal Cockroach Insecticide
Ambegaon, 16th October 2023: In a remarkable story of innovation and determination, Bipin Pandharinath Choudhari, a young man hailing from the drought-stricken village of Shirdale in the eastern part of Ambegaon taluka, has achieved a patent for his herbal cockroach insecticide. His invention is poised to make a significant impact in the field of chemical-free pest control.
Bipin Choudhari, the son of a farmer, decided to address the dire circumstances facing his village, where agriculture depended solely on rainfall and prospects appeared bleak. His unwavering commitment was not only for his benefit but also for the betterment of his family and community. At home, he lives with his mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, and two sisters.
His educational journey began at the Zilla Parishad School in his village, where he completed his studies up to the 4th grade. Later, he pursued his education up to the 12th grade in the village of Dhamani. Unfortunately, due to familial challenges, he could not complete his education up to a B.Sc. degree.
In 2012, Choudhari established ‘Herbal Pest Control India Pvt. Ltd.’ after receiving approval from the Government of India’s ‘Startup India’ initiative. Fueled by his passion for creating chemical-free pest control solutions, he embarked on the journey to develop herbal pesticides and subsequently incorporated them into pest control practices. One of his notable achievements is the successful patenting of his 100 per cent herbal insecticide designed to eliminate cockroaches.
Choudhari’s relentless pursuit of innovation also led to several other product proposals awaiting patent approval. He receives unwavering support from his wife and children in his entrepreneurial venture.
However, Choudhari expressed a sense of disappointment, as financial constraints have prevented him from taking his world-class herbal insecticides to a broader audience beyond his district and state.
