Pune: Young Man Killed By Two After Asked To Remove Masks; Case Solved After 15 Days
Bhor, 24th May 2023: A shocking incident took place in the Pune district where two persons killed a youth for asking them to remove their face masks. The investigation has revealed that the young man was killed and his body was dumped in Varandha Ghat. The youth was missing for about fifteen days. The police have finally arrested the suspected accused.
According to the information given by the police, the names of the accused are Deepak Dhanaji Jagtap (31), a resident of Ranje, taluka Bhor, and Sagar Nanasaheb Limhan (26), a resident of Parwadi, taluka Bhor.
Fifteen days ago, the accused killed Ajay Ankush Manjare, a resident of Kusgaon, taluka Bhor, and threw his body in the valley of Varandha Ghat. The team of Pune Rural Local Crime Branch has investigated the case. They have detained the accused after they have confessed to the crime. The police have succeeded in finding the dead body.
On 7th May, the two accused were in a hotel in Ranje, taluka Bhor wearing masks. At this time, Majare asked them to remove the mask from their faces, due to which the two accused got angry and had an argument.
Reportedly, the accused attacked Manjare with a Koyta. When he became unconscious, he was taken to Varandha Ghat in a four-wheeler. At that place, they again stabbed him with Koyta and threw him into a deep valley.
The police have succeeded in finding the dead body. The police seized the car carrying the dead body, three pistols, eight live cartridges, and the mobile phone of the deceased from the accused. The accused have been sent to police custody for four days.
Under the guidance of Pune Rural Police Superintendent Ankit Goyal, a team of Local Crime Branch Police Inspector Avinash Shilimkar, Assistant Police Inspector Netaji Gandhare, Mahadev Shelar, Rahul Gawde, Pradeep Chaudhary, Abhijit Sawant, Ganesh Jagdale, Mangesh Thigle, Amol Shedge, and others carried out the said operation.
