Pune: Young Man Stabbed For Not Having Money In His Pocket At Gunjan Chowk In Yerwada

Yerwada, 4th January 2022: Two persons stopped a young man walking with a friend and searched his pockets, demanding money for drinking liquor. However, out of anger for not having money in his pocket, two attackers beat up the young man and stabbed him in the stomach.

The incident took place on 1st January around 11.45 pm at Gunjan Chowk of Yerwada. The young man was seriously injured in the attack.

Yerwada police have arrested Ali Rafiq Sheikh in this case. The seriously injured person has been identified as Krushna Ingle (24), a resident of Link Road.

According to the information given by the police, Krushna and his friend were walking on the road on 1st January around 11:30 pm. At that time, there was a commotion among some children in Gunjan Chowk, so the two friends stayed on the spot.

At that time, Rafiq, along with other accomplices, approached Krushna for drinking and checked his pocket, asking for money. However, due to a lack of money in his pocket, another attacker stabbed Krushna in the stomach and seriously injured him.

Police Sub-Inspector Ankush Dombale has informed that one person has been arrested by the Yerwada Police and the search for his accomplices is on.
