Pune: Young Woman Dies After Falling Into Quarry, Two Arrested
Pune, 15th November 2022: On November 11, Ritika Kale (21), a neighbour of quarry owners and the daughter of a chicken farmer, died after slipping and falling into a quarry while attempting to toss out some trash.
Sunil Mahajan (60), the proprietor of the quarry, and his father Tulshiram Mahajan (95) have been arrested by the Bharati Vidyapeeth police.
Numerous complaints were made against the pair for their carelessness in failing to close the quarry, according to police inspector of crimes Nitin Jadhav.
