Pune: Young Woman Rescued from Suicide Attempt on Navale Bridge by Quick-thinking Traffic Police and Citizens

Narhe, 20th February 2023: A 24-year-old woman was rescued after attempting suicide by jumping from Navale bridge on the Mumbai-Bangalore bypass on Sunday night.

She was saved by the intervention of traffic police and citizens who brought Satranji carpets as a precaution. The woman fell on Satranji, which helped cushion her fall and she sustained minor injuries. She was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital.

According to the police, the young woman was shouting loudly and attracted the attention of citizens and traffic police. The police officers and citizens tried to convince her not to jump, but she ignored them and jumped off the bridge. The reason behind her extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

The traffic branch police officers Mithun Rathod, Amar Korde, and citizens Raju Jagtap, Sagar Bardapure, Pradeep Jore, and Shreyas Tambe were instrumental in rescuing the woman. The police and citizens worked together to save her life, and their quick thinking and bravery helped prevent a tragedy.
