Pune: Youth Impersonates As ‘Grandfather’ For Property Registration, Court Rejects His Pre-Arrest Bail

Pune, 4th October 2022: The pre-arrest bail application of two, including a grandson, was rejected in connection with the purchase of 14 acres of ancestral land by dressing up as a sick grandfather and preparing a power of attorney from another person.
District Sessions Judge S.B. Heydau gave orders in this regard. Natu Kunal Sunil Hargude, Shantanu Rohidas Narake, and Kritika Kiran Kahane are the names of those whose pre-arrest bail applications were rejected.
A case has been registered against the impersonator who pretended to be his grandfather, and an investigation is being conducted. A 42-year-old person has filed a complaint in this regard. The incident took place on 21st February 2022 in the office of the secondary registrar at Talegaon Dhamdhere in Shirur taluka.
In this case, Hargude, Narke, and Kahane filed an application in court to get pre-arrest bail. This application was opposed by Additional Public Prosecutor Ramesh Ghorpade. The crime concerned is serious in nature. It is necessary to trace and arrest the impersonator pretending to be a grandfather. Therefore, a request has been placed that their pre-arrest bail application should be rejected, Ghorpade argued. Adv. Tejas Pawar and Adv. Vikram Ghorpade supervised the work. Accepting the arguments of the government, the court rejected the bail application of the three.
