Khadakwasla, 4th June 2022: The number of tourists visiting the Khadakwasla Dam is increasing rapidly. Considering this, there is a need to set up dedicated parking in this area to avoid traffic congestion. Taking this into account, preparations have begun at the administrative level.

Tegbirsinh Sandhu, Additional Charge, Haveli police station has written a letter to various departments in this regard and requested to take necessary action for the same.

The road near Khadakwasla going towards Panshet Dam is narrow. The road is the only way connecting Sinhagad fort, Panshet and Warasgaon Dam and 30 to 40 other villages around Pune city.

The number of tourists is increasing day by day to visit the Khadakwasla dam. There is no vehicle parking available in this area. People park their vehicle on both sides of the road which causes traffic jams in these areas, especially on weekends. To solve this problem, police officer Sandhu wrote a letter to Pune Municipal Corporation, the District Collector, Public Works Department, Irrigation Department, Forest Department and Police Sub-Divisional officer and requested them to make land available for parking.
