Pune: Youth Who Intervenes In The Fight To Save Man Gets Brutally Assaulted By 15-20 Men, Case Registered
Pune 6th July 2023: A youth was attacked by a gang of 15-20 people for trying to intervene in a fight happening in front of his medical shop. The incident took place in the Kirkitwadi area on Wednesday.
According to police, a group of people were assaulting a youth and the complainant tried to intervene to save the boy. The youth was saved due to his intervention.
However, the accused returned after some time with more people and started assaulting the medical shop owner for intervening in their fight. They brutally assaulted him and vandalised his medical shop. The whole incident was captured in a CCTV camera.
The medical shop owner sustained injuries in the incident and he was rushed to the hospital for the treatment. A case in this regard has been registered at Haveli Police Station and the police have arrested six accused in the matter. Police are investigating further in the case.
The incident comes days after a youth saved a girl in Sadashiv Peth area from a person who was angry on girl for refusing her proposal. The youngster was felicitated by political leaders and social activists across the city. However, the incident reported at Kirkitwadi projects a different story as the one who intervened to save youth in a similar way had to face violence from the people who are claimed to be serial offenders of the area.
