Pune: Youths Attack Owner Of Sweet Mart With Pistol For Not Giving Free Kajukatli

Pune, 21st December 2022: In the Sinhagad Road area of Pune, two youths who went to buy sweets at the Sweet Mart shop attacked the owner with a pistol for not giving free Kajukatli.

In this case, the police informed on Wednesday (21st December) that the two accused had been traced and arrested.

Shailesh Sankhe, a senior police inspector of Sinhagad Road Police Station, has informed that the incident happened on Monday (19th December) at Phulpari Sweet Mall on Sinhagad Road at around 4.00 pm.

Suraj Bramhadev Mundhe (23), a resident of Manik Baug, Pune, has been arrested, and his 17-year-old accomplice has been detained. Shop owner Jaudharam Dhisaji Chaudhari (50), a resident of Dattawadi, Pune, filed a complaint with the police.

While the complainant was sitting at the counter in the shop, Suraj Mundhe entered the shop with his accomplice. He demanded one kg of Kajukatli from the shopkeeper and said he would not pay for the sweet.

But when the shopkeeper objected to giving free sweets, Suraj then took out his pistol, pointed it at the owner, and attempted to fire the trigger four times to kill him. But as no shot was fired from the pistol, the shop owner was not injured. A case has been registered as a round fell in the shop while firing and the accused took the fallen round and ran away on the motorcycle.

The incident was captured on the CCTV footage of the shop. Accordingly, the police investigated and arrested the two accused. Further investigation in this regard is being carried out by Sub-Inspector S Lohar of Sinhagad Road Police Station.
