Pune: Youths Extorted Rs 10 Lakhs With Lure Of Job Abroad

Pune, 9th June 2022: A case has been registered against a woman for allegedly duping youths of Rs 10 lakhs under the pretext of jobs abroad.

The name of the woman has been identified as Mayuri Srivastava. Srikant Raju Shelar (31), a resident of  Nana Peth has filed a complaint in Samarth Police Station in this regard.
Shelar was looking for a job abroad. He had seen an advertisement for a foreign job opportunity on the website. He then contacted the mobile number of Mayuri Srivastava.
Srivastava pretended to have a job opportunity in Poland. She told Shelar that money would have to be paid for the visa and other formalities, documents, etc.
Shelar then sent her the money online. After sending the money, Shelar did not get a job and lodged a complaint with the police. It has been revealed that nine to ten youths including Shelar were cheated and Senior Police Inspector Ramesh Sathe is investigating this matter further.
