Pune: Zilla Parishad Officials To Conduct Regular School Inspections For Quality Improvement

Pune, 17th January 2025: In a significant move to enhance educational standards and address school-related challenges, the Zilla Parishad’s Education Department has mandated direct school inspections by officials at both taluka and district levels. These visits aim to assess physical and educational facilities and identify problems faced by teachers.
Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Gajanan Patil has instructed all Education Department officers to step out of their headquarters and conduct on-site inspections. This initiative includes three deputy education officers and nine extension officers, who have been directed to visit schools twice a week.
Previously, school reviews were primarily conducted by the education officer alone. Under the new directive, the broader involvement of officials is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of school conditions and lead to effective problem-solving.
The initiative is seen as a proactive step toward improving the quality of education in the district, ensuring better facilities, and addressing the concerns of teachers as well as students.
