Puneites Get Respite From Heat With First Rain

Pune, 1st June 2022: Rains lashed some parts of the suburbs including Pune city on Tuesday (May 31) evening. The city was feeling heat waves all day. Due to this, the presence of rain has created haze in the air and the people of Pune are happy because of this. Twenty to twenty-five minutes of rain appears at various parts of the city.

The Meteorological Department had predicted an early monsoon this year. According to this, monsoon were expected to arrive in Maharashtra in the first week of June. But before that, on the last day of the month of May, unseasonal rains lashed various parts of the state. Less or high rainfall reported at various parts of the city while some parts witnessed a high rainfall.
