Pune’s Zaki Sayyed Secures Spot in 151st NDA Course
Pune, 1st January 2024: In a significant achievement, 18-year-old Zaki Sayyed, a resident of Bhosari, has been selected to join the 151st National Defence Academy (NDA) Course. Zaki, a bright and motivated individual, is set to report to the NDA on 2nd January 2024.
Zaki’s journey to the NDA commenced with his success in the NDA and NA written exam held on 16th April 2023. Following this accomplishment, he successfully navigated the SSB Interviews conducted in Bangalore in the last week of June 2023. Zaki’s remarkable performance secured him the 387th position in the All India merit list announced by the UPSC.
A student of Apex Careers, Zaki received guidance from Lt Col Pradeep Brahmankar (Retd) and the dedicated faculties of Apex Careers. His educational foundation was laid at the National Centre for Rural Development NCRD’s Sterling School, Bhosari, where he completed his schooling. Zaki’s interest in joining the Army was sparked during a school-organized visit to the NDA, motivating him to pursue this noble path.
Zaki’s academic record is impressive, with a score of 98.09% in X CBSE Boards. He continued his education at Kamalnayan Bajaj Higher Secondary School Chinchwad for his 11th and 12th grades. Opting for a two-year coaching program at Apex Careers for XII and NDA preparation, Zaki secured 88% in his XII HSC Sr Boards and an impressive 95 percentile in MHTCET.
Zaki’s father, Javid Sayyed, holds an M Tech in Mechanical Engineering and serves as the Head of the Design Department at Advent Technologies, Chinchwad. His mother, Nazneen Sayyed, is a homemaker. Zaki’s elder sister, Zuveriya Sayyed, is pursuing Aeronautical Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology.
Beyond academics, Zaki has showcased his sporting prowess by representing his school in Cricket and Kabaddi at the district level. He also participated in Football competitions at the Inter-School level. Zaki’s hobbies include reading, sketching, listening to music, and avidly following Cricket, Kabaddi, football, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) matches.
Zaki attributes his success to the unwavering support of his parents, sister, and the guidance provided by Lt Col Brahmankar. He expresses gratitude to all the teachers at Apex Careers for their role in shaping his journey to the prestigious NDA.
Zaki was felicitated yesterday in a program at the hands of Pratibha Bhanot and Maj Gen Harinder Bhanot VSM (Retd) at Tilak Smarak Mandir, Pune. A cheque of Rs 20,000 was handed over to him by Gen Bhanot as a special prize from Apex Careers.
