Pushpa 2 Final Box Office Collection Reaches Rs 1871 Crore Worldwide

Mumbai, 18th February 2025: The makers of the blockbuster film “Pushpa 2: The Rule” have officially announced its final worldwide box office collection, marking the end of its theatrical run. The Allu Arjun starrer has amassed a staggering Rs 1871 crore globally, cementing its position as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
The film, which hit theaters on December 27, 2024, has had an impressive 53-day run at the box office. In India, “Pushpa 2” collected a net amount of Rs 1232.30 crores, with its gross domestic collection standing at Rs 1469.95 crores. The movie’s success wasn’t limited to Indian shores, as it raked in Rs 271 crore from overseas markets, contributing significantly to its worldwide total.
Throughout its theatrical journey, “Pushpa 2” broke several records and milestones. It surpassed the collections of other blockbusters like “Baahubali 2” and “KGF 2,” emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film to date. The film also claimed the title of the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.
Directed by Sukumar, “Pushpa 2: The Rule” is the sequel to the 2021 hit “Pushpa: The Rise.” The film stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, continuing the story of the red sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj. The movie’s success is attributed to its mass appeal, stellar performances, and the anticipation built since the release of its predecessor.
Despite its massive success, “Pushpa 2” fell short of overtaking Aamir Khan’s “Dangal,” which remains the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide with a collection of Rs 2,070 crore. Nevertheless, the film’s performance has been hailed as exceptional, especially considering the challenges faced by the film industry in the post-pandemic era.
