Spell Bee Competition organised by Rotary Club of Poona North
Pune, 18th February 2025: Rotary Club of Poona North, organised a Spell Bee Competition for students in 6th to 8th Standards in Pune. It was held on 16th February 2025 at Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, Model Colony, Shanthi Sridhar, President of Rotary Club of Poona North , Dr J Sridhar, Project Director, Deepak Takkar, Secretary and others.
Prof Dr Madhuri Gokhale of Fergusson College inaugurated the competition, while Prof Dr Jayasree Menon was the Chief Guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Eminent English faculty from Symbiosis (ELTIS) provided scholastic support for conducting the event.
17 schools and 85 students participated . Team of St. Arnolds School led by Ms Aditi Mohapatra became the winners and the team of Balashikshan School led by Ms Srushti Bhat became the runners-up. Glittering trophies were given to the winners and runners up, while Participation certificates were given to every participant.
This was the first time that such a Competition has been held by Rotary Clubs in Pune, which was organized by Rotary Club of Poona North,the second senior-most club in Pune in its 65th year of service.
