Key Pledges in Rahul Kalate’s Manifesto for Chinchwad
Traffic Decongestion: Major plans to resolve traffic congestion affecting areas like Nashik Phata, Pimple Saudagar, Wakad, Hinjewadi, and Bhakti Shakti Chowk. The manifesto promises improvements such as the metro extension to Wakad, a third railway track on the Pune-Mumbai route, and the repair of service roads between Wakad and Kiwale.

Balanced Development: Kalate vows to ensure equitable development in Chinchwad, focusing on essential services like metro connectivity, roads, water supply, electricity, health, and education while addressing budget allocation issues.

Relief from Water Scarcity: The manifesto emphasizes 24/7 water supply through the implementation of the Pavana Dam Water Channel project, which has been stalled for over 14 years. Kalate also promises a “tanker-free” Chinchwad and abundant water for key areas like Hinjewadi, Wakad, Pimple Saudagar, and Kalewadi.

Pollution-Free Rivers: Kalate aims to restore the Pavana and Mula rivers, which have been heavily polluted. Despite the ongoing river improvement projects, he asserts that visible progress is lacking.

Resolution of Unauthorized Constructions: Kalate’s manifesto tackles the long-pending issue of unauthorized constructions in areas like Walhekarwadi, Ravet, and Kalewadi. He advocates for transferring ownership rights to homeowners and rectifying land allocation issues that affect the native farming community.

Improved Healthcare: With a focus on improving access to medical care, Kalate pledges to upgrade services at Aundh Hospital, making it capable of treating a wider range of diseases for residents of Chinchwad, Wakad, Sangvi, and nearby areas.

Arts, Sports, and Education: Kalate also promises the development of international-standard educational and sports complexes in areas such as Wakad, Pimple Saudagar, and Kalewadi, with the help of the Sports Department, ensuring quality education and recreational facilities for the community.
