Rahul Tripathi From Pune Gets Selected For The First Time In Team India For The Ireland Tour

Mumbai, 16th June 2022: The The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the team for India Tour of Ireland. Rahul Tripathi from Pune has been selected for this tour for the first time in Team India.

Rahul had done well in the 15th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) which got him this opportunity. After this election, Rahul is very happy and has expressed the feeling that his dream has come true.

Rahul Tripathi (31) is the highest-scoring uncapped batsman in the history of IPL. He has scored 1,798 runs so far.
In IPL 2022, Rahul had scored 413 runs in 14 matches while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Meanwhile, his strike rate was 158.24.

Speaking to PTI after being selected in Team India, Rahul said, “This is a great opportunity for me. My dream has come true. I am happy that the selection committee has shown faith in me. This is the fruit of my hard work. I will try my best if I get a chance to play.”

Team India will play two T20 matches in Ireland on 26 and 28 June. Hardik Pandya has been named the captain of Team India for the series.
