Railways Extends Daund–Ajmer, Khadki–Hisar Special Trains to Ease Passenger Rush
Pune, 26th March 2026: To manage the continued surge in passenger demand, Indian Railways has extended the operation of select weekly special trains, including key services connecting Daund–Ajmer and Khadki–Hisar routes.
Train no. 09626 Daund–Ajmer Weekly Special, which was earlier scheduled to run up to March 27, 2026, will now operate until April 24, 2026, completing four additional services. In the return direction, Train no. 09625 Ajmer–Daund Weekly Special has also been extended up to April 23, 2026, with four trips.
Similarly, Train no. 04725 Hisar–Khadki Weekly Special, earlier notified up to March 29, 2026, will now run until April 26, 2026, covering four more services. Its counterpart, Train no. 04726 Khadki–Hisar Weekly Special, has been extended up to April 27, 2026, also completing four additional trips.
Railway officials stated that there will be no change in the timings, routes, halts, or composition of these trains during the extended period.
Bookings for services Train nos. 04726 (Khadki–Hisar) and 09626 (Daund–Ajmer) will open on March 28, 2026, through computerised reservation centres and the IRCTC Rail Connect platform, within the Advance Reservation Period. Reservations for journeys beyond this window will be made available on subsequent dates as per the existing booking cycle.
Passengers can also opt for unreserved ticketing through the UTS system. For real-time train running information and detailed halt timings, travellers may access the NTES.
