Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj birth anniversary observed on Pune University campus
Pune, 28th June 2022: On the occasion of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj birth anniversary on June 26, the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Karbhari Kale garlanded the full size statue of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj located on the university campus.
Professor Dr Vilas Adhav, Head, Economics Department, Savitribai Phule Pune University, said, “I was fortunate to gift the following four books authored and edited by me in the honour of Shahu Maharaj – 1) Krantikari Samajsudharak – Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj; 2) Vanchit Ghatak:- Sakshamikaranachi Rachanatmak Disha; 3) Chirebandi Krushi Bajaar ani Durbal Shetkari; 4) Pramel Davabindu.”
The event was attended by university Pro VC Dr Sanjiv Sonavane, Registrar Dr Prafulla Pawar, Dr Vijay Khare, Dr. Parag Kalkar, Dr Mahesh Kakade, Dr Aparna Rajan as well as a huge number of officials of various teaching and non-teaching staff organisations.
