Rampant Vandalism Strikes Pune: Koyta Gang 25 Cars, Two-Wheelers, and Rickshaws In Yerwada Area
Yerwada, 26th December 2023: The notorious ‘Koyta gang’ has resurfaced in Pune, wreaking havoc in the Yerwada area where an estimated 20 to 25 vehicles, including cars, two-wheelers, and autorickshaws, fell victim to a spree of vandalism. The incident took place overnight, leaving a trail of extensive damage and instilling fear among the residents.
The unidentified perpetrators targeted parked vehicles, leaving them severely damaged and contributing to an atmosphere of terror in the neighborhood.
In the past few days, there has been a noticeable increase in incidents involving the vandalism of vehicles parked on the streets.
Security Supervisor Assaulted in Separate Incident
In a distinct yet concerning incident, the security supervisor of the metro project in Pune fell victim to an assault related to an old grudge and dispute. The attack occurred on Saturday around midnight at the Tadigutta riverbed. The assailants targeted the company’s four-wheeler, leading to its vandalization and damage.
A formal complaint has been lodged with the Yerwada police station against the individuals involved in the assault.
