Results Of RTE Admission Lottery For Private Schools In Maharashtra Declared
Pune, 6th April 2023: The results of the online admission process conducted for the 25 percent reserved seats in private schools in Maharashtra state under the Right to Education Act (RTE) were declared yesterday.
Parents will receive admission messages on their registered mobile numbers from 3 pm on April 12. The children whose admission has been announced can confirm their admission between April 13 and April 30. This year saw a record number of 364,390 applications for 101,969 available seats.
The online admission process of RTE is being conducted through the Directorate of Primary Education. After the online application process, a lottery for admission selection was conducted. The selected children will be informed via mobile message. Before the deadline of April 30, parents will have to verify their children’s required documents by the verification committee between April 13 and April 25 and confirm admission, said Director of Primary Education Department Sharad Gosavi.
The state government has reserved 25% seats for economically weaker sections under the RTE Act in private schools.
