River March members meet CM Devendra Fadnavis
Mumbai – Representatives of River March movement met CM Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai to discuss issues on environment and river protection on Saturday.
River March is a movement to rejuvenate rivers by striving to free them from encroachments, save remaining mangroves and contribute a non-polluted green environment.
The Chief Minister asked officials to notify rivers,its tributaries and also for sustainable technological solutions to treat water before it enters river.
He also asked to bring in regulations for plastic waste & debris but stressed to focus more on solutions for its disposal.
MLAs, BMC & MPCB officials & Smt Amruta Fadnavis were present too for this meeting.
