RPF Pune Trains 75 Personnel in AI Surveillance, CCTV Monitoring Systems

Pune, 23rd April 2026: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Pune, in coordination with RailTel Corporation of India Limited, conducted a two-day seminar on April 22 and 23 focusing on CCTV monitoring and Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) operations.

A total of 75 personnel, including RPF staff, officers, and Signal & Telecom officials from Pune Division, participated in the training aimed at strengthening technical and operational capabilities in surveillance systems.

The sessions covered AI-based video analytics and forensic tools, face recognition systems, panic button alert mechanisms with emphasis on women’s safety, and advanced CCTV monitoring and response strategies.

The training was conducted by Rajmani Singh, AGM (Project), RailTel, Mumbai, under the supervision of Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Priyanka Sharma.

“This training equips RPF personnel with enhanced analytical skills and real-time monitoring capabilities through advanced CCTV and ICCC systems. It strengthens our preparedness to respond swiftly to incidents and reinforces our continued focus on passenger safety and security,” Sharma said.

Officials stated that the programme was designed to enhance real-time monitoring efficiency and response coordination across railway security operations.
