RSS Observes Dr. Ambedkar’s 135th Birth Anniversary With Tributes And Civic Initiatives In Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri, 14th April 2025: On the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Pimpri-Chinchwad paid homage by offering floral tributes and reaffirming their commitment to the Indian Constitution.
On Monday (14th April) morning at 7:30 am, RSS workers assembled at the statue of Dr. Ambedkar at Pimpri Chowk. After offering floral tributes, they also saluted the Constitution’s preamble displayed near the memorial, pledging to uphold its values.
The event saw the presence of several prominent figures, including Vinod Bansal, District Sanghchalak of RSS Pimpri-Chinchwad; Narendra Pendse; Hemant Harhare; Anil Saundade, Trustee of Martand Dev Sansthan, Shri Kshetra Jejuri; Vilas Landge; Sopan Kulkarni; Suhas Deshpande; and many volunteers and supporters.
As part of the annual celebrations, RSS organizes a series of programs including lectures and public outreach activities. This year, a drinking water station was once again set up near the Ambedkar statue in Pimpri by the Swatantryaveer Tatya Bapat Smruti Committee, continuing a tradition that has been observed for over 30 years—excluding the pandemic years.
The water station was inaugurated by Vinod Bansal and Laxman Pawar. Citizens visiting the tribute site were seen using this facility.
In addition, under the “One Notebook, One Pen” campaign aimed at supporting underprivileged children in rural areas, 1,500 notebooks and pens were donated to the Bharatiya Buddhajan Vikas Committee. Committee members Pradeep Pawar and Pramod Gaikwad, along with other dignitaries, were present for the handover.
Lectures and homage events are also organized by RSS in various parts of the city throughout the day.
