Saiyaara Smashes Box Office Records; OTT Earnings Await Uptake
Pune, 30th July 2025: Mohit Suri’s romantic musical Saiyaara, featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has stunned Bollywood by breaching ₹400 crore worldwide gross in just 11 days. Along with box-office glory, the film has drawn attention to its pending digital rights sale marking a unique case of theatrical dominance paired with strategic streaming monetisation.
Box Office Performance:
Since its release on 18 July, Saiyaara has earned over ₹266 crore in India by Day 12 and concentrated its momentum with strong weekday collections including ₹9.5 crore on Day 11 and ₹10.5 crore on Day 12, bringing total net earnings to approximately ₹270.75 crore. Across overseas markets, the film added ₹76–90 crore, pushing the global total to around ₹404 crore. Audiences flocked consistently despite weekday dips and emerging competition, confirming the film’s status as a romance blockbuster.
Return on Investment:
Made on a modest budget of ₹40-45 crore, Saiyaara has delivered a staggering ROI of around 500%, becoming one of the most profitable Hindi films of 2025. Analysts point to the film recouping its entire production cost within three days of release, a rare feat for a debut-led romance.
