Shivajinagar, 27th November 2024: The Sancheti Group of Hospitals has unveiled its pioneering “Smart Ward” initiative, introducing Pune’s first ward equipped with Dozee’s AI-powered Remote Monitoring System (RMS) and Early Warning System (EWS). This innovation aims to significantly enhance patient safety, monitoring, and overall care.

Dr. Parag K. Sancheti, Managing Director and Chairman of the Sancheti Group of Hospitals, emphasized the hospital’s ongoing commitment to redefining healthcare delivery. “Our role as healthcare leaders goes beyond treatment. It’s about embracing innovations that advance patient care,” he stated. The integration of Dozee’s advanced monitoring system marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s approach to patient care. It signifies a shift from traditional, reactive medical responses to a more proactive, data-driven model that focuses on prevention.

The Smart Ward initiative will equip non-ICU ward beds at Sancheti with next-generation, contactless remote patient monitoring systems. These systems will continuously track vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, respiration rate, SPO2 levels, and ECG, providing real-time insights and triggering early warning alerts when abnormalities are detected. This technological upgrade aligns with Sancheti’s core philosophy, “Serving Patients is Serving God,” which reflects the hospital’s commitment to the legacy of its founder, Dr. K H Sancheti.

Dozee’s technology uses AI-driven Ballistocardiography (BCG) for non-invasive, contactless monitoring. Its Early Warning System (EWS) tracks the trends of vital parameters, notifying healthcare providers of potential clinical deterioration up to 16 hours in advance, providing crucial time for intervention. A recent study published in Frontiers in Medical Technology demonstrated that Dozee’s EWS can predict patient deterioration well in advance, improving the chances for timely medical responses.

Kaushal Pandya, India Head at Dozee, highlighted the synergy between Sancheti Group’s patient-centric approach and Dozee’s mission to enhance patient safety. “The collaboration ensures that continuous monitoring and early intervention become the standard in patient care, significantly improving outcomes,” he stated.

Known for its ethical practices and world-class orthopedic care, the Sancheti Group continues to lead in healthcare excellence. By incorporating Dozee’s advanced technology, the hospital further strengthens its commitment to sustainable and innovative healthcare practices, setting a benchmark for other institutions.

This strategic initiative underscores Sancheti’s dedication to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance patient care and sets a new standard for the integration of technology in healthcare.
