Satara, 27th December 2025: Four people, including a truck driver, were injured on Friday afternoon after a truck carrying iron materials collided with three cars on the Pune–Satara highway at Khambatki Ghat. Police said the accident occurred after the truck’s brakes failed while negotiating a sharp S-curve.
The truck (MP 09 HH 8527), traveling from Satara towards Pune, reportedly lost control after crossing the tunnel at Khambatki Ghat. The speeding vehicle first hit three cars in succession before overturning near a roadside hotel.
