Satara: One-Way Traffic to Be Implemented During Mahabaleshwar Tourism Festival from May 2

Satara, 28th April 2025: To manage the anticipated influx of visitors during the upcoming Mahabaleshwar Tourism Festival, local authorities have announced a one-way traffic system on the ghat roads linking Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani. The three-day festival is set to commence on May 2.
In an official notice, Satara police outlined that tourists traveling from Mumbai and Pune will be directed to take the Pasarni ghat route to reach Mahabaleshwar. For their departure, visitors will follow an alternative route passing through Medha, Kudal, Pachwad, and then join the Pune-Bengaluru highway.
“These traffic measures are being implemented to ensure smooth flow and avoid congestion,” said a police officer.
Additionally, Satara’s disaster management officer confirmed that a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) will be stationed in Mahabaleshwar to address any emergencies during the event.
