Savitribai Phule Pune University Announces Academic Year Schedule for 2023-24
Pune, 5th August 2023: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced the academic year schedule for various departments. The eagerly awaited timetable for the 2023-24 session has been announced, with the first session commencing on August 21. This announcement brings relief to students and affiliated colleges who were anticipating the schedule.
To counter the academic setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, higher education institutions introduced online learning options.
Subsequently, online examinations were also conducted. As the pandemic situation improved, the state government recommended that educational institutions resume their academic activities. While Pune University was somewhat delayed in this regard, it has now published its schedule at the start of August.
As outlined in the released circular by the university’s Department of Academic Admission, the first session is set to take place from August 21 to December 16. Following this, the second session is scheduled from January 1 to May 18. The circular also includes details about the designated winter and summer vacation periods.
The university had previously conducted the Common Entrance Test for various degree and post-graduate courses offered by departments under the faculties of Science and Technology, Humanities, Commerce, and Management, as well as Interdisciplinary Studies. Admissions procedures have been initiated based on the results of this examination.
Consequently, the academic year schedule has been established, including the durations of both winter and summer breaks.
The Academic Year 2023-24 will follow this timeline:
First Session: August 21 to December 16
Second Session: January 1 to May 18, 2024
Winter Vacation: December 18 to December 30
Summer Vacation: May 19 to June 30, 2024
