SBI Faces System outage, customers might face problem using INB, YONO, Yono Lite, and UPI service

New Delhi, 1 April 2021: State Bank of India (SBI), India’s biggest public sector bank, has made important announcement for its customers. If you are an SBI account holder, you might experience some banking issues today, as per the SBI, it is undertaking maintenance activity.   

SBI customers will not be able to make payments through UPI after some time from now. SBI’s Internet banking platforms will be stalled for around three and a half hours from 2 to 10 in the afternoon. The country’s largest government bank said that for the last three and a half hours, internet banking, the YONO app, and the YONO Lite app will not be available. State Bank of India has given information by tweeting.

SBI has cautioned people that people can tackle their urgent work in the remaining time. Bank customers may have a problem with UPI Transaction on 1 April. This is because the bank will upgrade its UPI platform today, so as to improve the customer experience. During this time customers may face difficulty in performing UPI transactions. For this, the bank has also given options.

The bank tweeted, “We request our esteemed customers that we upgrade our internet banking platform to give them a better online banking experience. Sorry for the inconvenience.” SBI has more than 44 crore customers across the country. The YONO app is a major contributor to SBI’s digital transactions.
