Pune, 10th March 2026: In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has invited citizens to actively participate in shaping the city’s 2026-27 annual budget. The program, titled “My Pune, My Budget”, aims to increase public involvement in Pune’s development projects.

Speaking about the initiative, Standing Committee Chairperson Srinath Bhimale said residents can now submit suggestions for essential development works in their localities. To facilitate this, a QR code has been made available on the PMC website and social media platforms, allowing citizens to easily log their recommendations.

The initiative encourages citizens to provide input on key urban infrastructure areas, including roads, water supply, transportation, parks, and public amenities. The main objective is to ensure that citizen priorities and needs are reflected in the municipal budget, fostering development that resonates with the people.

Bhimale urged Pune residents to actively participate in the program and help shape the future of their city.
