Shefali Shah, Jim Sarbh and Vir Das Nominated For Best Actor For International Emmy Awards 2023
New York, 27th September 2023: The nominee list for the International Emmy Awards 2023 has been announced and Indian artists have made their place in this list, including Shefali Shah, Jim Sarbh and Vir Das. 56 artists from 20 countries have been included in the nominations in 14 categories. Jim Sarbh has been nominated in the ‘Best Performance by an Actor’ category for his role in Sony LIV’s web series ‘Rocket Boys’. Along with Jim, Argentina’s Gustavo Bassani, UK’s Martin Freeman and Sweden’s Jonas Carlson have been nominated in this category.
Bollywood actress Shefali Shah was highly appreciated for her Netflix web series ‘Delhi Crime Season 2’. Now Shefali Shah has been nominated in the ‘Best Performance by an Actress’ category for her brilliant performance in this web series. Connie Nielsen of Denmark, Billie Piper of UK and Carla Souza of Mexico have been nominated in this category along with Shefali Shah.
Apart from this, famous comedian and actor Vir Das has been nominated for his Netflix comedy ‘Vir Das: Landing’. France’s Le Flambeau, Argentina’s El Encargado and UK’s popular comedy show Dairy Girls Season 3 have been nominated along with Vir Das.
After being nominated for the International Emmy Awards 2023, Jim Sarbh said, “I am overwhelmed and excited to be nominated under the Best Actor category at the International Emmy Awards for my portrayal of Dr. Homi Bhabha in Rocket Boys. In addition to these individual nominations, producer Ekta Kapoor will be honored with the prestigious International Emmy Directing Award at the 51st International Emmy Awards ceremony. This grand award show will be held on 20th November 2023, in New York City.
