Shefali Vaidya to Present on Ancient Indian Textile Traditions Under ‘Dialogue’ Initiative
Pune, 28th July 2026: As part of the Dialogue initiative jointly organized by Indi Heritage and the Parimal & Pramod Chaudhari Foundation, noted author and researcher Shefali Vaidya will deliver a presentation on the theme “Ancient Indian Textile Traditions – Ajanta Special.”
The presentation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Firodia Hall, Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), Pune. The program is open to all, and entry is free.
A recipient of several prestigious awards, Shefali Vaidya is a multilingual author and newspaper columnist. She is widely recognised as a scholar and expert on India’s cultural heritage, with particular expertise in traditional handloom textiles and temple architecture. She has been awarded the BORI–Infosys Fellowship by the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute for her comparative study of Indian textiles and the iconography found in temples.
Fluent in English, Marathi, Konkani, Hindi, and Spanish, Shefali Vaidya also has extensive experience working across both traditional and digital media.
