Sheraton Grand Pune Brings The Taste of God’s Own Country to the City
Pune, 25th February 2026: Pune may be far from the Arabian Sea, but Sheraton Grand Pune is bringing the flavours of Kerala’s coastline to the city with a special menu at Feast, a celebration of coconut-rich curries, pepper-laced gravies and recipes rooted in generations of home kitchens.
The menu opens with Kozhi Thenga Paal Soup, where tender chicken and coconut milk create a broth that is both delicate and deeply satisfying. Vazhapoo Vada introduces crunch and earthiness through spiced plantain fritters, while Pepper Chicken delivers bold heat layered with the unmistakable warmth of freshly ground black pepper.
At the heart of the spread is Thalassery Mutton Biryani, aromatic, subtly spiced and distinct in character from the biryanis more familiar to this region. Meen Manga Curry brings together fish and raw mango in a sharp, tangy gravy, while Chemmeen Thenga Peralan coats prawns in toasted coconut and curry leaf. Avial offers a comforting medley of vegetables bound in yogurt and coconut, and Ulli Theeyal adds depth with its slow-caramelised shallots and tamarind undertones.
To conclude, Ada Pradhaman, rich with jaggery and ghee, and the lighter Elaneer Payasam made with tender coconut, offer two distinct interpretations of sweetness, one indulgent, the other refreshing.
In a city that increasingly embraces regional Indian cuisines, this festival brings Kerala’s coastal character to Pune; thoughtfully, flavourfully, and without dilution.
