Shiv Sena Leader Sudhir Suri Shot Dead In Amritsar

Amritsar, 4th November 2022: Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri was publicly shot dead on Friday afternoon in Amritsar, Punjab. Broken idols of deities were thrown by some people outside Gopal Mandir. When Suri came to know about this, he reached outside the temple and sat on a dharna to register a case against those who desecrated the idols. His security personnel and supporters were also with him. During this, suddenly there was a firing on them.

 

The bullets hit Sudhir Suri’s chest. His security personnel also opened fire in the air. There was chaos on the spot. He was admitted to a private hospital in an injured condition, where he died. The security personnel present on the spot chased the attacker, beat him first and later handed him over to the police. It is not yet known how many attackers were there.

 

Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri has been receiving assassination threats from Khalistani terrorists and their accomplices for many years now. Because of this, the government deployed Punjab Police security personnel under his protection. Now for the last few days again, Shiv Sena leader Suri was getting death threats.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Dera Beas, adjoining Amritsar, tomorrow on Saturday. This incident, which took place a day before the PM’s visit, has given sleepless nights to security agencies. Farmers’ organizations have already announced their opposition to this visit to Modi and now the killing of the Hindu leader has added to the chaos in security agencies.

 

After this incident of firing, BJP and Congress leaders attacked the state government. BJP leader Tajinder Singh Bagga targeted the Aam Aadmi Party government and said that the law and order in Punjab has completely collapsed. At the same time, Congress’s Srinivas has tweeted and said the condition of law and order in Punjab is bad as a local Shiv Sena leader was shot dead in broad daylight in Amritsar.
