Mumbai, 29th June 2022: After the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari ordered a floor test in the Legislative Assembly on June 30, Shiv Sena has said that it will challenge the order in the Supreme Court.

Few days ago independent MLAs wrote to the Governor regarding Uddhav Thackeray led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) being in minority after 39 Shiv Sena MLAs rebelled under the leadership of Eknath Shinde. They are camping in Guwahati, Assam.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis met the Governor yesterday night and demanded floor test. Accordingly, Governor Koshyari has directed the Legislative Assembly secretary to conduct the floor test between 11 am and 5 pm on June 30. It will be live telecast.

“We will go to the Supreme Court (against the Maharashtra Governor’s decision to call for a floor test). This is an unlawful activity as the matter of disqualification of our 16 MLAs is pending in SC. The Governor was waiting for this moment only”, said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.
