Pune, 18th April 2026: Marking the spirit of seva and community bonding on the occasion of Vaisakhi, Shri Muktsar Sahib Seva Trust organised a chhabeel at Green Groves on Baif Road in Wagholi on April 18, drawing an overwhelming response from residents and commuters.

Volunteers served refreshing sharbat, a milk-based, rose-flavoured sweet drink, to passersby throughout the day. Despite the intense summer heat, the team catered to over 3,000 people, offering not just relief from the heat but also a gesture of humility and selfless service.

The event stood out for its smooth organisation and the enthusiasm of volunteers, including many children who actively participated in the seva. Their involvement added a unique charm and reflected values of compassion and community service from a young age.

Residents and commuters appreciated the initiative, with many expressing gratitude for the timely refreshment and the polite manner in which it was served. Volunteers greeted every individual warmly, ensuring the effort went beyond distribution to create a meaningful experience.

Members of the trust said the chhabeel was organised not only to celebrate Vaisakhi but also to emphasise the importance of giving back to society. The initiative highlighted the impact of community-driven efforts in spreading kindness and positivity.

The event concluded on a positive note, leaving volunteers with a sense of fulfilment and making a lasting impression on thousands who benefited from the service.
