SIMS INTERNATIONAL LECTURE SERIES HOSTS SESSION ON New Generation Technologies and Changing HR Perspectives
Pune, 10th January 2025: The International Lecture Series at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pune, conceptualized by Brig. (Dr.) Rajiv Divekar, Director, SIMS & Dean, Faculty of Management, SIU, continues to provide a unique platform for students to interact with global thought leaders and gain valuable insights into present business challenges and opportunities.
On January 10, 2025, a guest lecture titled “New Generation Technologies and Changing HR Perspectives” was conducted in an online format for MBA students. This session delved into the rapidly evolving business landscape and the skills required to navigate a globalized and technology-driven economy.
The guest speaker, Deepti Karan Pandey, Mentor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan School of Management) Sandbox Innovation Program and Associate Vice President (Technology) at Mphasis Corporation, USA, brought a wealth of experience with her in fostering innovation, technological advancements, and business transformation
The lecture highlighted critical areas such as digital transformation, the rise of artificial intelligence and sustainability in business practices. The session explored how organizations worldwide are adapting to these changes through agile frameworks, data-driven decision-making, which helps to foster a culture of innovation. She emphasized the need for future managers to embrace lifelong learning, cultivate cross-cultural competencies, and develop a strategic mindset to remain relevant in a dynamic global market.
