Pune, 17th December 2025: After a prolonged spell of cold weather, Pune residents experienced slight relief as night-time temperatures climbed from single digits to double digits. On Wednesday, December 17, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 10.9°C.

Other parts of the district also saw a rise in minimum temperatures, ranging between 10°C and 16°C. Haveli recorded the lowest temperature at 9°C, making it the only station in Pune district to report a single-digit minimum. The highest minimum temperature was observed in Magarpatta at 16.6°C.

Weather experts attributed the temporary rise in temperatures to the influence of easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal, which are bringing moisture into the state. However, they cautioned that the relief is likely to be short-lived, with night temperatures expected to dip again over the next two days.
