Solar Power Plant Training Course For Disabled Soldiers; Curriculum Development By Pune University

Pune, 17th January 2023: The Skill Development Center of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has organized a solar power training course for disabled soldiers under the service of Queen Mary Technical Institute (QMTI), Range Hills.

This course is of three months duration and training will be given along with a demonstration on setting up of solar power project as well as its maintenance and repair. Renowned companies in the field of renewable energy will provide this training.

The course was recently launched in a formal function by the Skill Development Center at Queen Mary Technical Institute.

Director of Skill Development Center Dr Radhakrishna Pandit, CEO, and Founder of Queen Mary Technical Institute Colonel Vasant Ballewar, International Head of Cleanmax Energy Enviro Company Dhananjay Nandedkar, CEO of Panama Industries Group Rahul Nalavde, Program Coordinator Dr Anjali Jagtap-Ramteke, Madhusudan Shinde and others were present.

On this occasion, Dr Pandit said, “Renewable energy is the need of the hour and there are huge job opportunities in it. Therefore, this course will be useful for soldiers to become self-reliant. Also, in this course, without emphasis on book learning, the nature of the program is business oriented and there will be more emphasis on practical work. A program based on bioenergy will also be implemented by this center in the near future.”
